Why Zettelkasten?

Write faster. Don't waste time to search for sources to cite, and browse through books and notes.
Create original ideas. Find connections between domains we haven't thought of before.
Think better. New information challenges your thinking. Reduces cognitive bias. Gain deeper understanding of the topic.
Increase retention. Permanently store valuable information from the content we consume. Develop my thinking by comparing evidence, ideas and arguments.

My workflow

Context and Connection. Value of the note is the network of relationships and connection to other notes. Tag notes in the context you want to discover them. Develop your thinking by connecting new notes to existing notes.
Usefulness grows over time. Relationships between notes grow stronger over time. Discover relationships and connection to different domains you haven't thought of before. The more content it contains, the more a connections it can provide. (Sönke Ahrens)
Networked, not hierachical. Ideas got locked into the folder and got forgotten. It's less important where we place a new note. Focus on recording the connection with links or references. Create network of ideas.
Idea Serendipity. Generate new ideas by means of combinatorial possibilities. Get creative by re-discovering past ideas and forming new connections.

Read a book or an article. Listen to YouTube videos.
Write Fleeting Notes i.e. short notes on my paper notebook when interesting concepts or ideas comes up.
Write Literature Notes summarizing the idea from the short notes.
Write Permanent Notes.
Write a summary for the blog, and publish them.
